Appraising Books

The University of Texas Libraries generally does not appraise books but we can help patrons find resources that will give rare book price information.

The two standard published reference works that will contain information, such as past auction records, are:

 

Recommend that patrons contact rare and out-of-print book dealers in their area. The Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America has an online searchable directory of member booksellers (http://hq.abaa.org/books/antiquarian/databases/bookseller_search.html).
